I did both - boxed for Windows, download for MacOSX. As far as I know, the only difference is that you can't download the box, printed manual, and the other printed material included with the boxed version. :) The download is humongous, but I just let it chug along and no problems. Poser 6 is around 700MB and add an additional 400MB download if you need the free ShadeLE that comes with the purchase.

C makes it easy to shoot yourself in the foot. C++ makes it harder, but when you do, you blow your whole leg off.
