Aye, shores and waves are easy in Bryce... I assume you're using a terrain to make your island? Simply duplicate your terrain, flatten it out vertically so that it's not QUITE flat, then stretch it on the X and Z so that it's a bit wider than your initial island(s). Then, copy and paste your water texture to this new, wave terrain! If you want more detail, go into the Terrain Editor and add some basic noise to the image map. You may want to turn up the source resolution for this part...
If you want some spray, or foam, simply duplicate your wave terrain object and run a different texture on it, then increase it's vertical height only slightly so that it pokes above your water terrain.
Or, you can just use multiple small terrains along the edges of your island, and the beaches. Use a sparkly "Blend Transparency" material and boom, instant wave spray! I used this method in my scene, "Shadow's Wall", and in many other scenes. I used the previous method in my scene "Temple of the Damned".
If you need more help, post us a screenshot so we can get more specific? I disagree with Drac on this one, it's not remotely hard, nor is postwork required at all...
