Actually I think Poser was meant to do just that. I have an old program that I still use a lot called Canoma. MetaCreations and the crew that brought you Poser made it. It is a simple modeling program that allows you to open images and pin 3D shapes to them creating buildings, interiors, or complete city scenes (or animations). One of the features is that you can click on a paint tool and Photoshop, Painter or whatever image editor you have set in preferences will open with that image (or texture). You can then edit with any tool or filter in your image editor and it is updated right back in Canoma. Note:It doesnt use the clipboard but caches the files within the program itself. Several months back I posted a way to speed up the library display in Poser. It involved cutting the connection to QuickTime that was giving Poser fits with newer versions of QT. While reading all the program files in Poser to find all the links, I noticed a lot of references to Photoshop and Photoshop filters within them. So I think most of the coding is indeed in place within Poser but is just missing the link to the image editor. Why did MetaCreations stop short on this really cool feature? Adobe bought Canoma just when it hit version 1.1 for (from what I have read) a very hefty price. Because Adobe never offered it for sale, my thinking is they purchased it for the technology then buried the product in their backyard (something Adobe is know to do). Im sure the deal included for Meta to not use that technology in their other apps. Would have been really nice. SWAMP
