I see two problems I would like to share: 1. It doesn't matter much for us that it has devolved into a popularity-contest, I mean we know to stay out of there if we want no part of the contest. But I do think it can fool new or less frequent members, believing it to be a place for the highest quality work. 2. It also works to exclude members who are otherwise great artists but don't have time enough to suck up, or haven't been around long enough to establish a 'higher social position'. It's been mentioned that different people posts for different reasons wich is true, yet here is a section of the gallery that blocks out a good portion of the memberlist as a consequence of their reason.
