I agree nothing is foolproof - but what use are most images - personal use by someone, they are not of a high enough quality to be of any use comercially unless they happen to have unique content that is newsworthy.

There is digital fingerprinting software such as that available from Digimarc if it is a problem that others are using your images on the net. MyPictureMarc is one a lot of people use.
