Foleypro - if you should happen by this thread again..... some more thoughts on why that scene of mine may be much slower to render now... I've noticed that the AA pass in bryce 5 really seems to grind to a near halt whenever it would hit a lot of transmapped (like that grass) or semi-transparent things. If the DAZ folk have put in a double AA pass or something like that as part of the "speed up the render as a whole process", then a scene (like mine) that is cruel to the AA end of the render would probably end up going slower than it did before (having to now cope with the bottleneck twice instead of once). Not bitching about it, just trying to understand why that sort of scene would slow down.
