If you want to go with a paid site, I recommend easycgi (the company that I use). For $7.95 a month (when paid for the entire year), you get 3000M of space (yes, that's 3 GIGABYTES) and 50G of traffic- more than enough to host popular files. :) Plus, you can use ASP, PHP, or plain HTML. But, if you're thinking about running a server from your home, make sure to think about everything: What happens when the power goes out in your home? Even if you have your server on a UPS unit, it will only be a few hours until it goes down... and your website stops working. This may not matter if you have a "little site", but if you do any kind of e-commerce, can you afford to be down at all? Personally, I recommend paying a company whose business is hosting websites: they have power backups, they install software service packs, they protect against viruses and hackers, etc. --John
