Okay, I am close to be done... this one i was more focused on moods, body language and expressions. I chose the beach cuz that would be worst location possible to have an agruement with your friend.

Now... it look so.... fake! lol.. it doesnt exactly blend right. What am I missing here?

Also if you have any suggestions or tips on something else for me to try please add it here. Thank you in advance for any tips or suggestions. By the way I was thinking it might be water? or missing shadow? cuz the V3 is on water instead of in water. Im gonna look for tutorial on that one and see if that work. Correct me if i was wrong

you are missing shadows where the 2 figures are placed..the lightning is not correct either.. the figures are much darker than the background..the feet should be wet too, because they are in the water or at least the water has touched the feet.

I think that Nerd's background tool (think that's it's name) would help. It's in the marketplace but it's not really expensive. I think it sets up the background so that the background and the floor appear more real and the figure doesn't have that ghostly levitation effect.

And here's the link.. it's $10 and very useful. Think I might buy it myself:)

What version of Poser are you using for this?

Tools :  3dsmax 2015, Daz Studio 4.6, PoserPro 2012, Blender v2.74

System: Pentium QuadCore i7, under Win 8, GeForce GTX 780 / 2GB GPU.

Well it says that it's for Poser 4 but it is a prop at the end of the day and should work with any version. All the props I make in 4 work with Pro Pack and 5. I'm not sure about 6 as I don't have it. Nerd would be the best person to ask though.

Sorry, I was referring to the original image in question. :-) For example, if he's using P5 or P6, there are techniques that would allow him to incorporate shadows over the background image itself, without the need for a prop geometry. P6, in particular, utilizes "shadow catcher", which is great for just this very thing. If he's using P4, then Nerd's prop (or something similar) is the best way.

look at the background, then figure out where the light's coming from, and what color it is, etc. Then go to the light controls and try to duplicate it inside Poser..works for me..;)

Good call pakled. It also can help if you have a pic where some object is already casting a shadow, which makes setting that up a little easier. :O)

If you have Photoshop there's a tutorial that shows you how to make shadows...I'm sure it'll work for paintshop pro also

The lighting is way off. Judging from the background, it's early afternoon. It looks like the sunlight is coming from 1 - 2 o'clock Beach>Bright sunlight>harsch shadow. create an infinite light>place it at the upper right, slightly behind the two figures>set the color to white>set the shadowmap to 1024>set intensity to 100 add two more lights in front>turn off shadows>set intensity to 20-30 JV

You'll have to do something with their feet. The one on the left should probably have both her feet under water, or at least covered in sea foam, the one on the right should have her right foot at least the same way. You could try a flat square with a water/foam texture on it set at a high level of transparency, use the wave deformer on it (radial) to create a ripple and place one of these above each foot that is in the water. You'll have to experiment some to get the best effect. Also they are standing on wet sand. Their feet would tend to sink into the sand just a bit. This would be easier to accomplish in postwork, I'm not sure how I'd go about it in Poser other than just dropping their feet through the floor just a tad. good luck, hope this helps some, Unizipped

whooooo lot of tips and suggestions :-P okay ill try all of them and see which one is best and once im done ill post it here again.. thanks guys :) one more thing... i think maybe it would look a bit more realistic if i add some footprints? that background is just a picture right now so it might be a lot of work for an inexperienced person like me :-P give me a little time but man im excited about this project i really want it to be perfect
