Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Nov 21 6:06 am)
hopefully you got bryce 4 veth, anyway i will try to explain it in the easiest way ....at least for me, you should goto the lower right of the bryce screen and click on the little globe looking thing, now, it will open up a new area down there, in it you will see a blue dot with some white arrows on either side, on the very left of the left arrow there is a reddish/ white/ and bluish block thing, between them is a tiny arrow pointing down , click the arrow, and choose select meshes(make sure you got the character clicked so its red), now after you click the arrow you can choose the eyelashes, which might be called head 1 or whatever it was named, might just have to go through each one to find it, when you find them then you can goto the material editor and click one of the circle areas next to transparency, in the third column and this will open another choice for the new map, from there you just choose the transmap you are using and then scale the transparency slider to the transparency you want,(some people might know a easier way, for there are many ways to do it) Matt if you have any questions just ask

In Bryce4, you can very easily select individual objects within complex groups by placing the mouse cursor over the object you want to choose (in this instance, the eyebrows), pressing the 'Ctrl' key on the keyboard and pressing the main (usually left) mouse button. On a Mac, I think it's called a 'Cmnd' key, or something - apologies for my ignorance. When you do this, a little dialog box pops up with a list of every item below the mouse cursor. Keep the mouse button pressed, and move the selection bar to the item you want, then let go of the mouse button. Your object will be highlighted in red. Bryce loads Poser 'materials' as separate objects, so all the different face items will be individually editable. The program will usually have automatically imported the texture maps with the Poser figure (assuming you used the OBJ format), and the texture editor should have them loaded already. You have to manually enable transparency, and point Bryce at the trans map. The blend transparency setting is very important. The tutorial in the link explains things well, with pics.Attached Link: http://www.robinwood.com/

Eureka! The Bryce Chronicals has a great tutorial by Robin Wood for importing Poser figures into Bryce. Step one figured out! =P Will have to take this slow to understand Bryce. Being technoimpaired doesn't help. LOL! Thank you all for your help. I'll be back for more. *newbie and all that!* =PThis site uses cookies to deliver the best experience. Alright, got Veth imported into bryce, and in the texture editor, all her textures show. But look at this image. *ugh* How do you add tranparency to the eyebrows like she has in Poser? Where do you edit the individual objects that make up the character? Or can't you? *scratches her head, lost* Hey, just got it yesterday. I'm a newbie here. LOL!
