Hi Mike, My name is Anthony, and I am the Senior Technical Writer at Curious Labs. I have recently embarked on a project to document not only CR2, but the entire Poser file format, since all file types use subsets of the same commands and are quite similar in form and, usually, function. This is a huge project, which will probably run well over 200 pages, most of it listing each valid command, so it's going to take several weeks to get a working draft together. And then it needs to be reviewed thoroughly, as I will not release inaccurate or incomplete information to the Poser community. I can tell you that library files typically go under Runtime:Libraries, in the appropriate folder (hair, pose, hands, etc.). Some of these have sub-folders corresponding to the sub-menus that appear in the Figure Library within Poser. For example, say you download a female character with CR2 and RSR file. Both files should go in your Runtime:Libraries:Character:Characters-Female folder (or other folder, if you created a new character category, such as :Downloaded_Characters. Whatever type of files you download, the "2" file (CR2, CM2, etc.) and RSR file go together in the same folder as described above. The OBJ geometry file typically goes in the Runtime:Geometries: folder, where is the name of your OBJ file. So, for example, if you download a character named Mitchell with the following files: Mitchell.CR2 Mitchell.RSR Mitchell.OBJ Then (unless a readme accompanying the download says differently), you would place the files in the following folders: Mitchell.CR2 and Mitchell.RSR = Runtime:Libraries:Characters: Mitchell.OBJ = Runtime:Geometries:Mitchell I believe this is accurate; I tried it on my system and it seemed to work. If I am wrong, let me know and I'll dig up the right answer. Hope this helps! Anthony Hernandez Senior Technical Writer Curious Labs
