Subject: E-on's Vue forums not working ..?

Hey guys ! I'm considering purchasing Vue 5 Infinite, but wanted to check E-on;s forums to see the people's problemss and responses to this new version. I'm basically interested in the new Eco System Technology and see how it works. And if its as good as they say. Real world production experience... I have an iMac g5 with 1 gig of RAM and I'm wondering if i will be enough for me to run the program smoothly with thousands of instances (ecosystem). Mostly interested in animations and rendering times... I have an ibook I can coonect to my other computer and help out, but was wondering if I can promise deadlines to my clientes with just these 2 machines :) I've read the comments and notes on some fantastic images here, but most say it took a couple of days to render ... (just one image), well a big image most of the times.. but.... I've treid connecting to E-on's forums, via Safari, netscape, explorer these couple of days and can never connect... Is this normal ...? Thanks for any help and good luck all. fjv

I think e-on's forums are for registered users only. Maybe that is the problem? I am on a Mac G4 with 1 GB Ram and for me Infinite works fine. As fine as other applications like Poser or Cinema 4D. Even with Ecosystems the rendering times are surprisingly low - i find. But this is my personal impression. Rendering times of course depend on so many things that it is really hard to tell wether it is slow or fast. I think someone started a benchmark thing here a while ago. Maybe you do a search for that and see.

I assume you have the right link. To be sure i add it here again. You then have to click on the e-on logo, #1 in the list.

IIRC, I couldn't get into the forums until I actually registered the product on-line. Could be wrong though.

thanks guys ... I get this is safari "Too many redirects occurred trying to open https://secure.e-onsoftware.com/Support/Forum/. This might occur if you open a page that is redirected to open another page which then is redirected to open the original page." And something similar in explorer or netscape... I think its busy... but I've treid it a couple of times each day for these past 3 / 4 days.... I gather you don't connect there much .. ? Jay it's working for you? fjv

FYI, I just got in. I'm browsing it right now. Something's amiss with either your browser, security settings, or your account...

Jay is right. To access e-on's forums you need to be a registered OWNER of Vue 4 or up. If you are a registered owner, then there might be a problem with your browser's cookies. Try deleting them, then restarting your browser. Hope this helps...

I used to run into the "redirect" screen hassle when I had Zone Alarm on my machine. Got rid of it and got rid of the problem. It's a firewall issue.
