I like. :) The one thing about IBL that has bothered me is the 'ambient' quality. HDRI, having luminance information, can produce highlights by virtue of this alone. IBL, alternatively, is only feeding color variances into the lighting without accounting for luminosity strength. This is why I've been using other lights to compensate - to create highlights and stronger luminosity identity. This looks to solve this problem 'internally' with nodes instead of faking it with other lights. Well done!
C makes it easy to shoot yourself in the
foot. C++ makes it harder, but when you do, you blow your whole leg
off.
