Doug - The bread shot is my favorite. Kim - Well she is pretty and she is sweet (most of the time). Thanks! cynlee - Thanks! Dully noted on the blown out light on the bread. It was interesting to see how slight movement in the light can change a photo, such as the 2 wine shots. For these shots the lighting was very simple. The Apple had one of the 500 watt lights at almost 90 degree angle, with a reflector bouncing light back into the shadow side of the apple. Glenda held a Black piece of poster board on the side of the light to create the shadow line behind the apple. (Barn doors would be nice for that) The bread was side lit with no reflectors to bring out the texture of the bread. Again Glenda held poster board to create the shadow line. The wine glass was still just one light at 45 degrees, but the light was tilted up slightly then, Glenda held the poster board under the light to put the glass itself in the shadow. This kept the glass from having bright hot spots, and let the white background reflect light through the wine. I will try and get a shot of the setup tonight. coolj001 - Thanks! I am sure you could grow some lovely tomatoes under these lights! And make great photographs of their progress.
