Well FastTraxx, they didn't do a very good job. As my own experience- at least 6 months ago or more I emailed CL about what type of support they would give to VIZ-3. They of course had never heard of VIZ-3, Discreet's other MAJOR 3D application which is about 80-90% of what 3DStudio is. I own VIZ-3 and run a 3DStudio interface on it. VIZ-3 runs nearly all MAX plug-ins (I have found almost NONE that DON'T work in VIZ-3) VIZ-3 is used by many Architects, Engineers, Designers, etc. It reads and saves MAX files and even does animation, including IK, etc. So anyway I told this to CL and they said something like "Yah, it should work too". In two more emails over the months I asked again if VIZ-3 would be supported and offered to beta-test PP for them on VIZ-3, each time basically getting the brush-off. But I thought- well at least when I get PP I can take the plugins and install them myself in VIZ, like I do all the other MAX plugins. BUT, when I get PP, they have it set up so that UNLESS IT FINDS 3DMAX (period), it will NOT ALLOW a VIZ-3 PP Plugin install!!! This is monumentally STUPID in my opinion. It shows they they pay little attention to Beta-Testing and even LESS to people offering valuable advice and help. To leave VIZ-3 off the MAX plugin install option is.... STUPID and CARELESS...
