I have been running tests since I posted this. I am modeling spires and rendering in Vue to see what Vues sampling tolerances are for varying sized geometry and angles. So far so good.

The reason why I posted the Lightwave test is to illustrate that a program can define thin geometry and scale them as they near the camera without strobing. The Lightwave settings were at medium compared to Vues 95% with increased sampling. Right now my ideas behind the problem are only speculation, but I expect I'll have some general geometry rules as I get more tests done.
