Not bad Doug! Personally prefer #9 over the others.... the specular highlights don't bother... #8 looks underexposed to me. The lighting and shadows are soft, which is fine, but the faces are lost in those shadows, to me the emphasis in that image is on the curtains.... #10 the foreground sculpture's face is in shadow.... and that is ok maybe, but the sculpture in the background in focus is also in shadow. If you want to get into lighting may I suggest a book that I have that is very straight forward, has lots of examples with drawings of the lighting setup and placements, and is IMO a great book for beginners.... It's not a book about flash per say, but geared towards studio work.
