Rayraz, " ooooh how about throwing a sphere with a planet texture right in the middle of that blue effect? with some color variations in the volume texture you could create a planet with an atmosphere glowing from a solar storm!" I was sort of thinking along those lines, yes, but I'm not sure how to do "colour variations in the volume texture".
