They are not humans." yet you are looking for exactly what you don't want? we don't know what aliens look like. development is a factor of enviroment. what you've described is perfect for a world like ours.. but the chances of evolving that are a few billion to one. truely an alien would be alien. hell there's a good chance we won't even recognise it as alive and walk on past it..
