A goodly challenge Phil,..........here are some I've found so far. Some are a bit quirky though. A teacher is better than two books. German Proverb Age is honorable and youth is noble. Ethiopian Proverb Friends are like fiddle strings, they must not be screwed too tight. English Proverb Give neither counsel nor salt till you are asked for it. Italian Proverb God could not be everywhere and therefore he made mothers. Jewish Proverb God heals, and the physician takes the fee. French Proverb Good as drink is, it ends in thirst. Irish Proverb Gray hairs are death's blossoms. English Proverb He that can't endure the bad will not live to see the good. Jewish Proverb He that marries for money will earn it.
