Here's a simple idea to try. I just made a flat disc and use a glass texture on it, cut the refraction to zero, and lined it up with the prop. Then selected the prop and set it to about 80 percent transparent. I didn't get everything a 100 percent linned up , but you get the idea. You could also use a texture map on the disc to get a blur effect. Have fun, If I'm not clear feel free to ask questions.
