Select the base prop, the one everything else is parented to, add it to the Props pallet, when the 'Set Name' dialogue appears ues 'Select Subset' to save all the props to the pp2. You will not be able to save as a smart prop when using 'Select Subset', but the pp2 can be edited to turn it into a smart prop by replacing the 'parent' statements with 'smartparent.
