I'll put up for Wings 3d..I've used Strata, Bryce (booleans..sorta modeling..;), Amapi, Carrara, Anim8tor (also free), and even flirted with CD4 and Truespace. There's also Blender, which wants to be all things to all people, but I'm still scratching my head over that (it's free too..;)
