CGtalk times out for me on hop 14 BTW. The more likely cause is a firewall. A quick search reveals that some firewalls block the ICMP packets that (Windows) tracert uses so that even if your http goes through, tracert won't reach it. In that case, tracert won't help. With Renderosity, it's not being blocked so you can get a complete trace. Unix tracert uses UDP packets by default but those may also be blocked at the firewall.
