You bring up some good points. If it were me I would install it on the new computer and send them an email requesting my new s.n. If they do not answer you I would then inform them that I would be writing a letter of protest to every computer magazine that carries their ad for this product and also notifying TechTV, who is watched by tons of people. I think you will get results. And it is scarey that you can't use the standalone on another system. I am going to test the lightwave plugin on another system later this month, but I think it kicked out the system I.D. and will be the same as the standalone. It does bother me that if they go out of business we are screwed. I wish they had gone with a dongle, it would have made all this a moot point. I intend to write to them and ask them what will happen in that case. I have also had problems with them, they are very cocky and their tech support sucks. I finally got my problem resolved after many emails, and I did not think some of the answers I got were at all professional. For example, I can get the programmer up, he's got a temp and is sick but I can bug him with this if you want. Or, consider yourself the proud owner of the Lightwave plugin manual. Not appropriate as it turned out later that it wasn't my problem, it was a bug and the guy finally gave me a workaround for it. Would I buy this program again knowing what I know now? No. Marque
