My heart goes out to you. You - and he - were indeed fortunate to be together at that time, as I was with my step-father, the only dad I have ever known, who died of multiple myeloma. Though loaded with morphine and in the resultant mental fog, HE actually comforted me. His last words: "That's Larry! I love Larry!" I hope you cherish the memory and all the other good ones as well.
