Subject: Dburdick: A request! :) Foam water, how to?

I saw your tutorial link on the shore line material, but..how did you make the FOAM water material in the tutorial? I've tried several times to get a realistic looking choppy foam and failed, sigh. So, how did you manage to get it? :) Master of the Function Editor, we beg thee to shower us with your wisdom! genuflects "We are not worthy! We are not worthy!" ;)

I'm not sure what you mean by choppy foam - which link are you talking about? Here's some shore foam created like all the others by using the "Distance to Object Below" node. The "choppiness" of the waves is created by using a "choppy" terrain. Monsoon's SeaVue (on 3D Commune) has a ton of these kind of choppy terrains.

ah... not the "height to" function, I was meaning the foam material itself. I see now after going and checking Monsoons tut again how he did that part of it. slaps forehead Ta mate :)

Where can I find those tutorials? I've been trying to do some seashore/realistic waves images but all I can get is a "flat" plane that does not look real... Any help would be appreciated Rick
