Finally painted something not too horrible to post. :^) John

Yep, freehand. My painting style has always been somewhere between realism and impressionism, BTW.

Yes, I noticed this while browsing the galleries waiting for a render... Very nice indeed. Not something that I could do for another few years maybe of practice. Anyhow... =)

Jeez, I didn't know you could paint. Well done.

A bit of work on the proportions and relations, though. Eyes!
