RAW is "as taken"! No postwork is made in cam at all!! What u shoot is what u get in clear! When u shoot in jpeg, ur cam does some adjustements for u. when u shoot in RAW, it doesn't! It gives u the pic as it is! Not every cams have that option though! Mine doesn't! :(
