Be careful around the Queensland coast for jellyfish, especially the irakanji(sp?). Deadly little critter, plus the stonefish and blue-ringed octopus. But Australia really is great, you just have to be a bit careful about a few things. Unfortunately, we lose quite a few tourists each year to the surf, make sure you swim between the flags! Also worth while asking the locals about any particular hazards.
