1] Definitely a good thumbnail. 2] Lighting, composition and quality. 3] Subject matter. As for cropping or resizing the full image it depends on the image itself. I normally crop a section of my image but also do it the other way for others. Don't mind postwork, especially when it is very good, but I do like an image created entirely in Poser with minimal postwork. That's just a personal preference because I try to work that way as much as possible. And I agree with Acadia's 2 & 3 of what I don't look at as well as images without thumbs or poorly done. My Dragon Mistress image has the most views at 1133 but my Getting Down to Business image has the most comments at 53 and even made it into the Hot 20. I have to say it is one of my favorites, took me days before I was finally satisfied with it. Working with the Millenium Dragon and lighting can be difficult so it's a challenge for me to get it right.
