I used to have this happen occasionally with Rhino-generated .obj models. Some even would scatter parts hither and yon. I successfully used UVMapper in one or two of these cases, because my .obj exports were "out of range" for some reason. It hasn't happened to me for a long time, though. Drawbridgep is right, a "pain" indeed, but, if it works ...
