This info is now saved and printed. I need to take some stored raw files and try the suggestions. I truly appreciate the input here! As for your comments on Photoshop CS2, I have that upgrade but haven't had it long enough to work out the stuff in my mind and keyboard. The raw convert does seem to work pretty well. One item in the CS2 I do like is "smart sharpen" since I generally leave sharpening "off" in camera. That sharpen method has worked well for me in the few images tried. A note on Photoshop for anyone else watching this thread, if you have the capability to shoot raw, indeed do that for images you really want to come alive. Download plugins are available for different camera raw types from Adobe. CS2 did not need the plugin for my D70, already there. BTW, the update from CS to CS2 is a complete prog. If you can prove you have a legal copy of CS(serial number) you can get the update and save the cost of the full prog. Then, the update IS the full program, not a change to your CS. Now, I have both on this pc. I will try the methods you have presented for using RSE and also experment with the Photoshop version. I was frustrated when the RSE "read me" made it seem easy to batch convert several files to the same parameters and I had problems doing that. Thanks so much. Any added info is appreciated. Tom.
