I would suggest making some bright areas within the nebulae. And a couple brighter main stars within as well. If you get a chance to check the link. I made that nebulae in Pshop, think it turned out well. Try duplicating the layer and changing the layer setting to dissolve, add a little blur and see how it goes for you. Good luck!
