Jason: I was a premature baby but survived. My mother contracted German measles while I was in the womb, which is what caused the premature weight and also left me a victim of congenital cataracts at birth and for my entire life. The "experts" told my parents I would never see; one even said I was retarded and should be institutionalized. That was in 1959... Today: I am 41-years-old, fat and happy. I hold a master's degree in a technical field from a major university and make my living in a visual medium--website development. I owe all of this to my parents, who refused to listen to the "experts" and kept searching for answers to my visual problems even when everyone told them to give up. In the end, they were successful--and today, so am I. DON'T GIVE UP, NO MATTER WHAT ANYONE ELSE SAYS. YOUR SON WILL BLESS YOU FOR IT. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. "That which does not destroy us makes us stronger." --Frederich Nietzsche
