I just bought C4D 9XL last month and then when to Amazon and ordered the tutorial books. As soon as they arrive I will dive in! Looking forward to it. I know most of the studios I seen presentations on all say they use C4D, LW, and some Maya. I would give the edge to C4D because of BodyPaint. But for learning higher end apps I would say LW has more training available hands down. Just do a search on amazon.com and compare.
