The key to game graphics is texture mapping. Unless you are talking about "cutscenes" you will want as low-poly a model as you can use, with as high-quality texture as you can make. Also, bump mapping is key. The less math involved with the render, the better. There are a ton of books out there for game graphics, many more than exist for Poser, that's for sure. Hope this helps!
