There's a texture in VUE 4's 'landscapes' pre-set materials called "Snowy purple stripes", which is a mixed material made of a snow texture and striped rock. You can edit this texture and substitute wood, tree bark, rock , or your roof textures, for the purple stripes. Once you apply this new material to your object, you can tweak the mix to your liking. I did this in my gallery image "A Cold Drink" for the trees, rocks, and terrain, and it worked wonderfully.
