A comet doesn't put out any light, it is illuminated by the sun. It's just highly reflective. But no, you can't do point light sources in poser. You could put in a couple of lights to simulate it, however. Might work depending on what you are trying to achieve. But if you really need to do this you might want to try a program with a better renderer.
