CD-- You shouldn't let one or two people (or any amount, for that matter) get you down. More likely, what they are doing is lashing out in their own frustrations than at you, specifically. Some of us are tired of seeing Vicki3 with the breast dials turned all the way up and specular set to high and not much else, that's all. I've found a really great way to deal with it, however. I simply avoid the Poser gallery like the plague. =) The Bryce gallery has very little in that way, and usually it's more tasteful than the Poser stuff. Maya has almost none at all, as far as I can tell, and same goes for C4D. Wings has none at all, unless someone is modeling their own figure (in which case I'd be the first to cheer them on). So keep at it, but don't ever stop learning. I've been using Bryce for pretty near seven or eight years now, give or take, and I'm still learning a lot. Don't be content simply to use other people's models; pick them apart and see what makes them tick so that you can make them yourself. Download Wings and learn how to use that (draculaz has a really great tutorial here on that subject). Anyway, that's my opinion and my soap box, I suppose. But I really believe that everyone has the ability to make stuff as good as Rochr's, if only they try hard enough and practice enough and learn enough. And I'm sure that Rudy would say the same thing. =)
