select window-show swatches.it will show with whatever swatches you used last. drag each swatch to the bin so you are starting fresh. select eyedropper tool on tool tab,click once on image for the colour you want move mouse over swatches window and click once give the colour a name or just leave as default and press enter/ok button.repeat for as many colours as you need. to save the swatches click the play button on swatches window and choose save swatches,give it a name and hit enter.
