Things I think I'd like to see more of: More "ordinary" clothing for the appropriate time and place. Not glamour/pin-up/porn stuff, but the sort of clothes that people would wear for an ordinary working day. Hmm, that just about covers everything, really. For now. OK, WW2 (and post-war) British battledress uniform. It was current well into the late 1950s. I've seen newsreel from 1958, showing a newly completed IRBM site in England, and the senior RAF officers present are wearing that. It would be quite in character for retro-sci-fi.
