Maclean, thank you for reminding me. My sister's boyfriend is Scot and you are right, he is able to pronounce my name correctly. And I agree with you, not many people know about the cedilla. Unfortunately, many French speaking persons write my name without it too.

Apart from my sister's boyfriend, all English speaking people try to pronounce the AN sound and some come near but NONE of them pronounce the rest correctly and they end up calling me Franis (no E at the end) and that gives me a man's name. I am a woman BTW. ;o) P.S. Xena, no, I am not at all the kind of person who absolutely wants for others to see her. loll
