Hey Jonathan welcome.... Time of day is important for scenic shots. If the sun is casting too many shadows it can make leaves and water look pretty bad. Depending on your angles.Early mornings and dusk shots bring out some nice results.Beware of "Salad" shots.Ones with just too much foilage.While looking nice to the eye in person, they end up being pretty boring.If you are going for a waterfall, try different speeds.One may stop the water and one will make i flow.Get in close and focus on some rocks with some spray happening.Lucky with digital we can take many many shots. Pay attention to the shooting data and try to remeber what worked.
