I'm not real sure what part of the owl that is, but it's a facinating shot! I would love to be "too close" to an owl. I've always wondered where you are to take such incredible shots of all these magnificent birds? This photo makes the owl look furry instead of feathery. Okay, I'll stop rambling....but this is really a neat shot, especially because you explained it. :)
