I think as hobbyist, we just love the fun of it all. A professional might likely be motivated by income and purchase as an investment. I liken Poser to my daughters dolls and/or action figures. She gets a doll but the real fun is in dressing them up in different clothes and accessories. Props are like the additional stuff she collects to create an environment for her dolls. A merchant here would be like the person who goes to the craft store and buys all the stuff to MAKE the clothes,props,etc. For me,I'm actually more of a software technician than an artist (most of my "Art"really sux in comparison to others here),But I like to know how to achieve certain effects and techniques. I like to figure out how stuff works. I might not be able to do a practical application of a technique, but I can usually help someone else to achieve a task. Software fascinates me. I'm more like the guy at the craft store showing you where stuff is...lol Cool thread Tom
