Subject: Looking for V3 or SP3 character with

jhustead ( ) posted Mon, 08 August 2005 at 2:45 PM · edited Fri, 29 November 2024 at 11:42 AM

Im getting tired of creating female characters with gargantuan or balloon sized breast. It just gets a tad bit distracting and ridiculous when I see quadruple E sized tits in the gallery almost all the time. No disrespect to the artists because I do it as well. All man Im sounding like a jealous female with small boobs! LOL I know I can turn the dial in poser and make them smaller, but then it seems like the texture is screwed up. So Im looking for a character for V3 or SP3 with a bit more realistic proportions. Im more in favor of a V3 mod because I dont own SP3 yet. Is SP3 even worth the price, because I see a lot more V3 products out in renderland than the other? It would be SP great if she was free! Thanks for your input, James aka jhustead

That's partly why I like Steph so much. She is by default about a A-B cup and looks much more natural as a small breasted woman.

karen1573: Yeah I don't like real big breast on real women either, I'm more of a skinny chic liking dude. What is your favorite Stephanie character and who is it made by? Thanks for the reply, James

I just recently did a character for V3 with smallish breasts (see link). She should be up in free stuff soon. I'm actuallly getting ready to send the dial numbers to a friend right now, so she can do the INJ/REM. :)

Neyjour: A very nice looking scene.

AntoniaTiger ( ) posted Mon, 08 August 2005 at 4:21 PM

I think the size morphs are more for under clothing, and a few details should be adjusted with other morphs. As for texture distortion, I'm afraid that can be a problem with any morph, for any object. The distances between the vertices shift, but the UV coordinates don't. There's no easy answer.

It's there in the dials, just not the obvious ones. I think this had a slight dialing (in negative...?)from chest to correct the scarring (on top of breast 1 or 2 from body). Only "beautiful breast" comes to mind on storeboughts (at dna).

RDNA had a "Beauty Breasts" package that has some really good small breast morphs for V3.

Couldn't agree with you more. I rarely visit the galleries unless prompted by a post on the boards, because almost every other picture has boobs that look like over inflated good year blimps that defy the natural laws of gravity. Not to mention some are so distorted in size and shape, that they look like WWII torpedos.

jhustead, Can't give you precise dial #s as I deleted that one but, if you put say, breast2 at 1.00 from body and then breast in smooth at -0.100 or, breastgone 0.080 from chest...something like that..you'll have to experiment. You can get rid of the joint scar. The best thing you can do is clone out all the forced shadows (size8) and tan lines off the textures first, in a paint prog. Pic above could use some more of that..(sternum ribs too far outboard, shadow too strong and at wrong angle, untanned area not outboard enough...) Must be strange to be a woman and read this...;) Nicely finessed V3 breasts are a good thing, though

Attached Link: http://www.oddditty.biz/about/figure.htm for reference What is Band? If your Bust Measurement is around the Chest across the Breast and if Band is the measurement around the chest, above the breast, your Cup Sizes and Bra Sizes are wrong. Bust minus Band (rounded to nearest even inch) equals 1" per Cup size for a Band/Cup description. In your examples, V3 would wear a 30 FF, not a 38D. Another method uses measuring around the chest, just beneath the Breast and adding 5" to get the Band Size (rounding up to nearest even number) Bust is still figured the same way and calculations for Cup are the same. Some appear that you may have used this second method, but mislabeled Band for Chest (not Bust). The Bra number should be the nearest rounded up Inch Measurement to the Band Size.

I agree with Zorares Why couldnt the dials have been made as A,B,C,D,DD etc? life would have been much better than the random sizes we are given now. A quick question, I have created a figure that i like, and i especially like the body shape, but i think the breasts are too big, this is mainly because of the Buxom set to 0.75, now if i remove that the body shape alters, which i dont want, and if i try altering the breasts using the dials i get odd projected shapes sticking out of the breasts and chest. How do i remove the Buxom morph from the Breasts without altering the body shape???? (And no you cant just change the dials in the bodyparts because you get sticking out bits at the Bodypart joins) any ideas??????

You might try Posermatic's breast morphs. http://market.renderosity.com/softgood.ez?ViewSoftgood=33884 Maybe they can do what you want without changing the body too much.

Singular3D ( ) posted Tue, 09 August 2005 at 11:06 AM

She's really pretty, but I agree her breasts are far too big. I often run into similar problems and beside the morph sets that are available one good thing is always to do the morphs yourself. You can use magnets or a modeler. Look at the great work richardson is doing with zbrush to get realistic shapes.

Acadia ( ) posted Tue, 09 August 2005 at 11:36 AM

I'm a girl and read this post. It's also a reason I have such a heavy opinion on the unrealistic image that some people, mostly men, paint about what they feel the ideal shape of a woman is. Based on some of the gross breast shapes that I've seen posted in the gallery, I have to wonder if any of those people have actually ever seen a real woman nude instead of those air brushed Barbies who undergo starvation and plastic surgery and even have ribs removed in order to be a "dream girl".

Acadia, as for some of these "unrealistic images", I feel that these are created by our more, um, "younger" members shall I say? And maybe a few with just a huge breast fetish. Then there is a portion that are trying to make "super hero perfect" size people. I guess I'm guilty of this from time to time. But I also feel that Jessi is "unnatural". While my wife used to be a fashion model, she NEVER looked like Jessi! My goals now are more realistic models, particularly in the breast area, but models that still push the realms of reality. Somewhere is a member with an amazing Jessica Alba morph/texture that I'd kill for as his model is perfect!

You're close, but forgot the 5 inch rule for cup sizes. Unless you're dealing with Fred's. The evolution of that chart can be found over at PoserPros, in a thread started by Jim Burton.

No, I did not forget. What I am saying is the Band size needs the 5" added to the Chest (not Bust) Measurement to be called Band or it is taken from the measurement under the arms and across the top of the Breasts. (Both measurements (Chest + 5" and Band should be within an inch of each other) Band measurement should equal the Bra Size Inch measurement. It might be a terminology issue within your chart. Either way, (if Band in your chart is really Chest) all the various Bra Sizes do not follow the same rules, so there is an error.

Ingenue Vickie and Glamorous Vickie do have breast morphs labeled AA, A, C and D, incidently. Default is a B cup. This is IV with the AA set. Works well with her body type, I think. ;-)

The Poser gallery is not the place to go looking for realism Citizens. For every unrealistic triple EEE cup there is a "normal" female figure standing in a fully lit environment casting NOT A SINGLE SHADOW ANYWHERE!!. To say larger breast size preference is the domain of teenage boys is elitetist tomfoolery and ignores the billions of dollars generated by Large breast related genres in the "REAL" porn industry. :-) I personally HATE fairies, koshini.kiki and other "cutsie" Sht . I dated a british girl with Double EE Cups But ive NEVER seen a blue "fae" and I dont chagrin or Disparage the maturity of those who prefer to create such PERSONALFANTASY** images with poser and post them. You want "realism" visit the photography gallery and there you will find photos of people's grandmas, middle aged uncles, and assorted domesticated house pets. ;-)

Personally, I dont think a smaller breast/cup size looks correct on the default body shape (uni-mesh)its just too bulky and beefy. Here I did a real quick reshape of the upper torso in Zbrush.. I made the ribcage smaller and narrower, sunk the sternum in, and reshaped the pectorals where they join the shoulders (made the shoulders a little smaller also). Still doesnt look quite right to me. I think the centers of the breasts (well call that the nipple axis) are just too far apart for smaller breast to look natural, without a lot of upper body reshaping. SWAMP

shedofjoy ( ) posted Tue, 09 August 2005 at 4:54 PM

Who's to say V3 and S3 are anatomically correct? let alone the breast sizes.... It's the same with all these "Good looking" people renders, Who renders images constantly of ugly people (like me)???? no one, and i don't blame them...lol So at the end of the day there are large breasted women and small breasted women, the argument about size renders shouldn't exist, it's all down to the artist... Just someone tell me how to alter the Buxom morph without effecting the body..(as i prefer them a bit smaller...)

Nothing more bizarre or unnatrual about 'em than the average 'rhoid enhanced bodybuilder. Implants atre less likely to make you impotent, violent etc. as well. Poser does a fair job of emulating the silicone dirigible look, It's the June Wilkinson (do a Google image search kiddies) natural look that presents more of a problem and IMO gives Poser breasts a bad name.

To be honest, I don't understand the discussion. As humans are different, you will never find a standardised breast, even those with plastic turbo injections will not look equal after some time. Thats a problem of gravity. Attached pic shows two of my figures I am working on at the moment, on the left a young lady at about 20 and on the right one at about 45. I think they look pretty realistic, don't they?
