I've got a logitec cordless mouse too, but never installed the original drivers. I let windowsXP handle the installation, it recognized the mouse without installing any logitec drivers. I've been running P6 from the beginning it was released, installed sr1 as soon as it was available and I haven't had any problems at all. Uninstall those drivers for sure to see what effect it will have on your system.
