I'd agree with that approach. Dynamic clothing lets you spend more time modelling (which most find pleasurable) and less time fiddling with conforming set-up, which all are agreed is a pain. If the clothing is just for you, and your machine can handle it, I'd say there's little point in making conforming clothing at all.
