Ya the shade should render nice and smooth, if not you can adjust the "Fidelity" will do screen caps for that. And yes screen caps for your center problem would be good :-) You can center the circle thoug and all things sould center with it. Click on the circle and in the drag-downs you will find "Arrange-Center Selection".
