Vue F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Nov 26 6:57 am)
When I post my own images, I tend to post in the gallery where the most significant part of the work was. If I render in Poser, it goes in the poser gallery. If I render in Vue, it goes in the vue gallery. If I completely paint over something render in vue, I would post it in the painter gallery... and so on. When I moderate the vue gallery, I have a very large tolerance to what I accept in the gallery. As long as one can see what was the contribution of Vue to an image (ior if it can't be seen, can it be explained ?), I am willing to leave that image in the Vue gallery.
Well said Trouble and I totally agree with your sentiments...short and sweet and to the point :) Cheers

I am new to Vue and had that same delimma! so it was good to read this discussion! I posted my first image recently useing Vue and was unsure where to post it as i had used post work on the sky and generally, increasing depth of colour. I opted for 'mixed medium' but see now I could have posted it in the Vue gallery!
I recently did a short series of manga-esque images; figures were set up in Poser, render was done in Vue, and a lot of Photoshopping was done to get the toonish look. I posted them in Mixed Medium because I felt that there was so much Photoshop work done on them they didn't really belong in the Vue gallery. But that's just personal. I often do some postworking on figures in my Vue scenes (getting rid of funny elbow bends, smoothing out skin shadowing, etc) but if I did a lot of painting, I probably would move to the Mixed Medium. Not saying that anyone should, just my personal opinion. 8o)
I've got the same problem. I set up scenes in Poser, add an environment and lighting in Vue. I almost never do postwork, sometimes a little fixing of render glitches. Since most of the work is done in Poser I post in the Poser gallery. What I really would like to see: a way to mark more than one application. Then I'd mark my work as Poser and Vue (the Photoshop component of my work is negligible). Same goes for categories: I'm working on a humoristic fantasy story. What category? Humor, story/sequential, fantasy? All three of them!
The pen is mightier than the sword. But if you literally want to have some impact, use a typewriter
IMHO, if an image has Poser people, I put it in the Poser Gallery. I use Poser, Vue & Max... anything with Poser folks in it regardless of what I render it in I put it in the Poser/NVITWS category!!! That's just me!! G

hi, i'm having a dillema. lately, i'm using more than one software in most of my computer graphic works. to be exact - i use Poser for people, render in Vue and then postwork in Photoshop. i usually post my images in the gallery of the rendering software, that is - if i used Poser to render i post it in the Poser gallery, and if i used Vue i post in the Vue gallery. normally, i'm ok with that, and i usually get feedack about the image itself and not the "technique" i used. but sometimes, when i post a heavily postworked image, i wonder if people don't mind viewing images like that in their favorite 3D software gallery. personally, being a Photoshop fan and loving painting in general, i don't mind seeing heavily postworked images at any gallery. but i understand the argument of wanting to see what an artist can do with a software than wanting to see what they can do alltogether. so what's your opinion? do you mind postworked images in your Vue gallery? do you get dissappointed when you see "lots of postwork" written in an image's notes? or can i just keep posting in the gallery of the software i used for rendering and arranging an image, and never mind how much postwork there is on this image? all opinions appreciated! :)
